It was dark
That it was blind
But once light was back
Glamour and charm it found

•°•°•°•
°•°•°•°

Hearts may be joined
Yet if one drips in gold
The other is left
Becomes the loser in the game of draught

•°•°•°•
°•°•°•°

We may be one
And each our hearts won
All these become vanity
No class no unity

•°•°•°•
°•°•°•°

Eagles don't fly with quails
Join porcupines if you have quills
Lions don't marry seals
Sometimes the brain feels

•°•°•°•
°•°•°•°

When I see dead snakes I run
For I know snake's fangs ain't fun
Dolphins don't marry outside the sea
Open your eyes and see!

•°•°•°•
°•°•°•°

I look at you then down
This promise of a new dawn
Though sweet and true
I fear meeting you
